Our registered trade mark, the triangular device you will find at various places on this web site, is an example of what is known, technically, as a "fractal". This fractal can be created by continued, random placement of dots on the paper, subject to a very few simple rules. What is striking is that the effect of these simple rules is to create a highly ordered and detailed structure from what is apparently a random process.
Many of the problems our clients ask us to solve contain elements of uncertainty (randomness). The uncertainty may arise from measurement errors in data, chance fluctuations in the performance of physical systems or unpredictable variations in the operational environment of the client's organisation. We use Statistical and Mathematical Modelling skills to find the simplest rules which give a detailed, ordered and quantitative insight into our clients' problems, and yield effective and practical solutions.
Our Software Engineering services and skills are based on a highly structured approach to design, coding and testing of computer software. The in-house standards which we apply to all of our projects help us to avoid the uncertainties often associated with software development.
